Do not stand by my grave and weep這首小詩，發表於1934年，是西方的清明時節雨紛紛。

作者是谁，說法眾多，且诗之版本眾多。关于作者，有说是巴爾的摩主婦Elizabeth Clark Frye，或是英國戰士Stephen Cummins，或是英裔美國人J.T. Wiggins，或是不知名人士Marianne Reinhardt。本文則採用Clare Harner是作者的說法，個人感覺更可信吧。

Clare Harner（1909-1977）是堪薩斯人，年少即展現音樂和詩歌才華，Clare在堪薩斯州立大學就讀產業新聞和服裝設計。畢業後開過服裝店，做過社會工作者，最後在三藩市的Fairchild出版社工作。也就是在這個時期，Clare進入到創作高峰。本首小詩首發於1934年期Gypsy吉普賽雜誌，1935年再版。

樵夫嘗試用新的翻譯，賦予其新的意義。
